Nose
A subtle and seductive mixture of smoky peat and seaweed.
Palate
The peat is dominant but mellowed with a complex fusion of sweet malt, salt and oak.
Finish
The soft peat clings to the roof of the mouth as toffee and coffee ensure a bitter-sweet finish.

ISLAY MIST DELUXE originally created in 1922 on the Scottish island of Islay to celebrate Lord Margadale’s 21st birthday. It was thought that the local single malt Scotch, Laphroaig, might be too heavy for some of the guests’ palates. From this the unique blend of Laphroaig with Speyside malts and grain whisky was born.
Using generous amounts of superior quality single malts, this is the perfect blend both for newcomers to the wonders of Islay Scotch whiskies and hardened Islay enthusiasts expecting that classic Islay experience. Each bottle proudly bears the Great Seal of Islay unique to our whisky.
